Graduation MUST-HAVES Checklist

Graduation…oh you have NO idea what a beautiful song that word is to my ears! My man and I could NOT be more excited for this Spring as we have a special announcement…{drum roll please}…he is GRADUATING!! I honestly could not be more thrilled!

A few semesters ago I wrote an article on How To Support Your Husband In School because let’s be honest. With your spouse gone ALL day working hard, doing homework and studying – life can be tough!

School doesn’t come easy to everyone. College is HARD! College is TOUGH! College is a LOT of work! College is EXPENSIVE! College is a CHALLENGE! But what an incredible accomplishment it is at the end of the road when you can say, “I DID IT!” I didn’t give up. I didn’t quit. I worked hard towards a goal – and ROCKED it!

Graduation season will be here before we know it, and it is an exciting and emotional time for students and families. It’s the payoff for years of hard work and sacrifice. As graduates move forward in life, they will look back on their college days with EXTREME pride.

As we are getting ready to celebrate this amazing accomplishment in our household the next few months, today we have put together A Graduation MUST-HAVES Checklist, to make your planning a little bit easier!

Graduation Must Haves Check List

1. SAVE THE DATE: As soon as you know the day and time of your graduation – spread the word to your family and friends! This is a day of celebration and all of your close relatives will be so excited to celebrate with you! You can make a cute “Save The Date” invitation and mail to their homes or even a simple text, phone call or email will suffice until you have your announcements to send them.

2. ANNOUNCEMENTS/INVITATIONS: Take a cute picture, order announcements and gather the addresses of everyone you want to spread your exciting news to! Remember, this is a fun way to spread word about this special occasion.

3. PICK UP YOUR CAP AND GOWN: Walking up on that stage to receive your diploma is one of the most rewarding experiences in your life. When you wear your cap and gown, it is a symbol of hard work and dedication! Wear it with pride and don’t be afraid to show off your efforts! THIS is the best day! AND I found this darling website that makes little graduation caps and gowns so your little one can twin with you! You know I LOVE twinning!

5. ORDER A FRAME FOR YOUR DIPLOMA: You and your family have worked SO hard and have invested so much into earning that diploma. After all of the time and money spent earning that degree, no diploma should end up in a drawer, forgotten about, or even destroyed!
